On Friday March 11, 2011 an earthquake of magnitude 8.9 hit of the Eastern coast of Japan. The destruction is nothing short of devastating. Some estimates put the death toll at over 10,000 in one prefecture alone. The magnitude was strong enough that it moved the axis of the earth. And the world is uniting in a single purpose: to help the victims of this disaster. There is so much we can learn from this. Not the least of which is how to care for our fellow man. The example of the Japanese people is nothing short of astonishing. My heart goes out to the people of Japan and the victims of this terrible catastrophe. I will keep them in my prayers.
